We collect as little as possible. You don't need an account to use flatapartments.com, and we do not accept or publish listings, so we hold no host or tenant records.

What we process

• Searches and clicks. When you click through to a provider, we record the provider, the destination you searched, the length of stay and the time. We don't record your name, email, IP address or browser details with it. We use these totals to see which providers are useful.
• Deal alerts (only if you sign up). Your email address and the alert settings you choose (city, stay type, optional dates, budget and how often). Legal basis: your consent, confirmed by clicking the link in our confirmation email (double opt-in). Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted after 7 days. When you unsubscribe (one click in any email, or from the manage page), we delete your address and settings.
• Chat assistant. Your messages are sent to an AI model to understand what you're looking for and to write a reply. We don't store chat messages on our servers; the conversation is kept only in your browser tab (session storage) and disappears when you close it. Please don't type personal details such as your passport number or phone number. Requests are rate-limited using your IP address, held only in memory for a few minutes.
• Server logs. Our web server keeps standard access logs, including IP address, page and browser type, for security and troubleshooting. They're deleted on a rolling basis, typically within 30 days.
• Email. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.

Service providers we use

• Resend (United States) sends our confirmation and alert emails. It processes your email address on our behalf.
• AI model providers (NVIDIA, Groq, OpenRouter) process chat messages to generate replies. We send only the messages from the current conversation, not your IP address or any identifier.

What we don't do

• We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't build profiles.
• We don't sell or share personal data for marketing.
• Alert emails contain only deals from partners' official price feeds, with an unsubscribe link in every message.

Provider websites

When you click through to a provider, you leave our site. The provider will process your data under its own privacy policy, and it may set cookies, including affiliate cookies that record you arrived from us.

International transfers

Our servers and some of the service providers above are outside your country. Where the law requires it (for example the UK or EU GDPR, or Singapore's PDPA), transfers rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the UK or EU GDPR, Singapore's PDPA or US state laws), you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your data-protection authority. Email hello@flatapartments.com.
