How we make money

flatapartments.com is free to use. There's no sign-up and no booking fee. Here is exactly how the site is paid for.

Affiliate commission

Some of the providers we link to run affiliate or partner programmes. When you click through to one of them and complete a booking, the provider may pay us a commission out of its own revenue.

• You pay the same price whether you arrive from us or go to the provider directly. The commission comes from the provider, not from you.
• It doesn't decide the order. Results are ranked by how well each site fits your length of stay and whether it covers your city. Commission isn't part of the ranking.
• We tell you when we earn nothing. Links that earn us nothing, including Airbnb's (it has no affiliate programme), are labelled on the results page. The providers page shows the current status of every link.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
• We don't accept payment to rank a provider higher.
• We don't take bookings or handle your money. Payments go straight to the provider you choose.

Why links go through flatapartments.com/go/

When you click a provider button, your browser passes briefly through a /go/ address on our site. It rebuilds the provider's search link with your city and dates and, where we have an agreement, adds our partner ID so the provider knows you came from us. We count clicks per provider (no names, IP addresses or other personal details) to see which sites are useful.
