What is flatapartments.com?

A free search and comparison service for apartments and flats. We show you which rental sites cover your destination and suit your length of stay, and send you to them with your search filled in. We don't own, manage or rent any property.

Can I book an apartment on flatapartments.com?

No. You book directly on the provider's website, such as Booking.com, Vrbo or HousingAnywhere. They take your payment, send your confirmation and look after the booking.

Who do I contact about my booking, a refund or a problem with the apartment?

The provider you booked with. They hold your booking and payment and have the tools to change or cancel it. We can't see or change bookings.

Why don't you show prices for every site?

Prices change by the minute, and we only show a price when it comes from a provider's official partner feed. For the other sites, the button opens their live results so you see the exact, current price. We never estimate or invent prices.

Is it cheaper to book through you?

The price is the same as going to the provider directly: we don't add any fees. Comparing several sites is how you save, because the same flat is often listed on more than one site at different prices.

How do you choose the order of results?

By how well each site suits your length of stay (nightly sites for short trips, monthly-rental platforms for a month or more) and whether it covers your city. Commission is never part of the ranking.

How do you make money?

Some providers pay us a commission when you book after clicking through from us. It comes out of their revenue, not your pocket. Links that earn us nothing are labelled. Read more on our How we make money page.

I need a flat for three months. Where should I look?

Enter your move-in and move-out dates and we'll put monthly-rental platforms first, such as HousingAnywhere, Spotahome, Uniplaces, Flatio, Wunderflats or Blueground, depending on the city. Nightly sites stay in the list because many hosts offer big monthly discounts.

Why is Airbnb listed if you earn nothing from it?

Because it's useful for comparing. Airbnb closed its affiliate programme and has no public search API, so we simply link to its public search page. We label that link so you know we don't earn from it.

How do I avoid rental scams?

Book and pay only through the provider's own checkout, never by bank transfer or messaging app at a host's request. Be wary of prices far below similar flats, and check reviews and the cancellation policy before you pay.

Do you use cookies?

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores one small setting so the cookie notice doesn't keep appearing. Provider sites set their own cookies once you visit them.
