What to know before you rent
- Deposits
- A landlord may ask for a deposit of at most three months' rent; one month is common. The deposit must be kept separately in a credit institution. (source, 2020-12)
- Scam warnings
- Do not pay anything before viewing the flat and signing (and understanding) the agreement, and avoid cash payments or get a signed receipt. (source, 2020-12)
